Location
 Portpatrick
is situated in the south west corner of Scotland, in the region of
Dumfries and Galloway.
Cradled at the foot of rocky cliffs, Portpatrick
looks across 22 miles of the North Channel to Donaghadee in Northern
Ireland. The Gulf Stream, flowing into the channel from the North gives
the area a mild climate in which sub-tropical plants and trees flourish.
The location has been used for filming of the BBC TV Series Two
Thousand Acres of Sky.
