Road and Rail the 'Weak Link'
HUNDREDS of ferry jobs in Wigtownshire could be put in jeopardy because of weak road and rail links in the south-west.
That is the stark warning which members of the Scottish Parliament received while on an official visit to Donegal.
Road and rail infrastructure was described as the 'weak link' in a projected Celtic Corridor from Ireland through Scotland to markets in Northern Europe.
And the delegation were told that this must be addressed or there is danger the main trade route from Northern Ireland will go through South-East Ireland and France instead.
