Wind Farm Plans on DIsplay

Plans for a wind farm in the North Rhins are to be laid out at a public exhibition.

Wind Energy are hosting a second public exhibition detailing its revised proposals for a wind farm at North Rhins on the 3rd and 4th November, 2006, at Portpatrick Hall.

They say local community and other interested parties will have an opportunity to see how the proposal has progressed since the first exhibition in August.

And it will show how comments received have been addressed in the design and layout of the wind farm. In addition, findings from an extensive range of environmental impact assessment studies will be presented.

Mike Davies, Managing Director of Wind Energy (North Rhins) Ltd, said:

"We have devoted a lot of time to ensure that the proposal is appropriate for the area.

"We were pleased with the positive response to our first exhibition and it is important to us that we continue to engage with the local community so that we can explain the recent changes and respond to any further concerns that may exist.

"I would like to encourage local people to attend as the feedback we receive will influence the final design of the wind farm and helps us to be good neighbours to the other community members."
