Successful Stranraer Firefighters

STRANRAER firefighters have reached the finals of a major firefighting contest yet again.

And they and colleagues from Newton Stewart will also compete in the Scottish finals in Hamilton in May.

The Stranraer station produced winners in the Dumfries and Galloway Fire Brigade annual fire extraction competition on Saturday at Fire Headquarters, Dumfries for the third year. Newton Stewart were second.

Stranraer go forward to the national final which will be held in Cardiff in July.
