Muscle Man Billy to Star in Documentary

RECORD BREAKING muscle man Billy McFadyen is set to star in a documentary film made about his age-defying feats of strength.

For Billy, 72 this month, has captured the imagination of Edinburgh- based documentary makers who are planning to to film him as he prepares for, and takes part in, a world weightlifting championships in Berlin this September.

Imagine Pictures are currently making a film charting three sporting stars from Dumfries and Galloway — one of them Stranraer’s strongman, Billy.

But the film-makers were so impressed with Billy’s amazing achievements that they are pitching a separate film at Channel Four.

They want to follow him as he prepares to muscle in on the World Champion Bench Press 2007 in Berlin.
