Police Start Fake ID Crackdown

POLICE and pubs in Stranraer are teaming up in a battle to stop underage drinkers getting served in the town.

A rise in the number of fake IDs has forced the Stranraer and District Pub Watch committee to take its latest action.

At a Pub Watch meeting earlier this month the committee decided from October 1 only two forms of ID would be accepted in the 38 premises who are part of the scheme.
