Search for Relatives to Make Care Claims

DUMFRIES and Galloway Council are to advertise for relatives of deceased people who paid for free personal care to come forward with a claim for a refund.

The local authority this week labelled the move as one of the last pieces to the complex jigsaw of refunds.

Current services users have already received a £100 goodwill payment towards charges made for assistance with food preparation and a further £487,000 is being distributed to 359 service users.
