Single Status Deal for Council Staff Collapses

A PAY offer to council staff across the region has been withdrawn amid fears it would promote a deluge of compensation claims.

Dumfries and Galloway Council has confirmed it has dropped its current single status package after an Appeal Court judgement had fundamentally changed the rules.

Now the council are seeking fresh talks with the unions to try to come to another agreement.
