Regeneration Bid Targets £3 Million

COUNCILLORS are targeting up to £3 million worth of funding in a bid to regenerate parts of Stranraer.

They agreed this week to look at sourcing the money from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Historic Scotland.

A similar scheme has already been a success in Wigtown.

A meeting in Dumfries unanimously agreed to embark on one of two regeneration schemes.
