Stena Line ask Government for harbour powers

STENA Line has asked the Scottish Government to grant the powers the company needs to build its new port in Lochryan.

The ferry giant has applied for a Harbour Empowerment Order and has lodged an environmental assessment to back up their case.

In that document - just released this week - the impact of traffic and noise appears to be the main stumbling blocks.
