Consultants under fire for 'anti-car' town lay-out plan

THE CONSULTANTS working on the future of Stranraer town centre and waterfront have come under fire at a public meeting this week.

Businessman Billy Burns told councillors at the Wigtown Area Committee that there was a lack of parking in Smith Scott Mullan Associates newly unveiled plans.

He described them as "anti-car".
