Councillor Avoids Legal Fees Charge

A STRANRAER councillor will not have to pay legal fees, despite failing in a small claims action against the region's largest social landlord.

Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership (DGHP) were looking for Willie Scobie to pay the legal fees from a small claims case at Stranraer Sheriff Court.

The Stranraer and North Rhins' councillor was previously accused of having a "personal vendetta" against the region's largest social landlord during a case where he represented Elizabeth Allison.
