Nursery Consultation Extended to Six Months

A CONSULTATION to determine potential rent increases at nurseries across the region has been extended to six months.

Dumfries and Galloway Council withdrew plans after coming under severe criticism from more than a dozen pre-school nurseries across the region who said they would be forced out of business.

In Wigtownshire, Kirkcolm nursery would have seen their rent increase from £1425 to £6000.
