New jobs created in supermarket

A SUPERMARKET in Wigtownshire is set to create 57 jobs at its new store.

Sainsbury's will hire the staff to add to the 48 already employed at the former Somerfield shop in Goods Lane, Newton Stewart.

The retail chain closed the former supermarket in March and work is ongoing to transform the site.
