Public backlash on Care Centre cut plans

The town's Activity and Resource Centres (ARCs) could be at risk if proposed local authority savings get the go-ahead.
A proposal to shut four out of six ARCs in the region was mooted last week.
And a council prediction that the move could be "controversial" appears to be becoming true.
