Savings could switch off festive lights
COMMUNITIES across Wigtownshire could be left to put up their own Christmas lights next year.
It comes as part of an effort by the council's resources committee to save more than £650,000 as part of £8million budget cuts.
One of the measures suggested was to stop helping towns across the region put up and take down Christmas decorations.
