Wigtownshire childcare company brings closure date forward

WIGTOWNSHIRE families face a race against time to find alternative childcare after the closure of Galloway Childcare Company (GCC) was brought forward.

Premises in Stranraer, Whithorn and Newton Stewart were due to shut on March 26 because of funding issues, with the loss of 26 jobs.

But parents have now received a letter stating that no childcare can be provided after December 18.
