Hotel,
Chalet and Conference centre planned for Stranraer
PLANS ARE being
drawn up for an hotel, chalet and conference centre on the
outskirts of Stranraer.
Behind the project
is farmer Bertie McClung who also runs an equestrian centre
at Planting End, Castle Kennedy.
He has formed
a company which has bought 14 1/2 acres of land running along
the east side of the Stranraer to Leswalt road, between Stranraer
Golf Club and the Craigencrosh roundabout.
Now he is seeking
outline planning permission to develop Creachmore Croft and
has announced the project by way of a notice board at the
roundabout itself.
Mr McClung told
the 'Free Press' this week "Stranraer is crying out for a
development like this".
