Stranraer lit up this Xmas

STRANRAER should be all lit up this Christmas.

And the hope is more shoppers will be encouraged to stay longer and spend more in the town.

More than £27,000 has already been earmarked and the total will be boosted by an auction organised by Wigtown Council for Voluntary Service where a scooter donated by Aprilia will be a top attraction.

Already, a company which has recently completed projects in Manchester city centre and the Thames Embankment in London, have visited Stranraer to give advice on how to achieve maximum impact. They will supply new lighting and features.
