Hydrotherapy
Pool
MOVES
TO enable disabled people to use the hydrotherapy pool at
Stranraer Academy are continuing.
Members
of the school board are keen to see the pool used by groups
who might benefit but were worried about certain aspects such
as insurance.
At
last week's board meeting, chairman Sam Scobie said he had
spoken to Dumfries and Galloway Council letting officer who
said the school carried public liability insurance.
He
had had another meeting with the Coalition for Disabled People
and had also spoken on the matter to Academy rector, Jimmy
Higgins and hopefully there would be a visit to the pool by
some coalition members within the next week or two to see
how the facility could be used by them.
