SMART Learning ...

READING AND sums have become the SMART thing to do at Belmont School, Stranraer.

For thanks to Starting Maths and Reading Together, primary one pupils and their parents are working together to develop skills. And in the few weeks it has been running, the course has proved very popular.

"We have been overwhelmed and extremely impressed by the number of parents coming to the school each week", head teacher Bill Burns told the ‘Free Press".
