MSP
Praises Castle Kennedy Primary School
ALASDAIR
MORGAN, the Member of the Scottish Parliament for Galloway
and Upper Nithsdale, has spoken of his admiration for Castle
Kennedy Primary School.
This
praise comes after the publication of the follow-up report
on Castle Kennedy Primary which tracks the progress that the
school has made since the last regular standard inspection
by HM Inspectorate of Education.
Speaking
from the Scottish Parliment in Edinburgh, the local Scottish
National Party representative said
"The
staff, pupils and parents of Castle Kennedy Primary have
performed admirably in the latest inspection of their school.
It
is a matter of considerable pride that their progress has
been recognised as being "very good" across a
wide range of categories.
A
number of areas have been singled out for praise, including
the teaching of English, Maths and Environmental Studies,
as well as the over-all assessment policy and forward planning
in numerous areas of the curriculum.
Congratulations
are due to everyone involved at Castle Kennedy.
The
whole community of Castle Kennedy including both the old
and new villages, plus the rural hinterland, clearly benefits
from having the school at its heart".
