Scottish Cup third round

STRANRAER's Scottish Cup third round tie against Premier League Celtic will be played at Stair Park.

And the Second Division side are looking for a 100,000 pay-day from gate receipts and their share of television income - Sky will broadcast the match live.

Talks were held with police this week to discuss safety and security, but club chairman Jim Hannah said tickets would go on sale at Stair Park on Sunday. Times will be announced at Saturday's match. The game will be played on Sunday, 28th January.

Admission prices will be 15 for the ground and 17 for the stand with no concessions.

There was talk of the game being moved to Kilmarnock to allow more people to see the game - Stair Park is restricted to around 5600.

But after Monday night's regular management committee meeting,

Mr Hannah told the 'Free Press'

"A change of venue was never an issue. I as chairman did not consider it an option."
