Stranraer Ready for Celtic

STRANRAER FOOTBALL CLUB are getting ready for their biggest pay-day of recent years on Sunday night.

Stair Park will have a near capacity all-ticket crowd with the home support hoping their side can spring the surprise of the third round of the Scottish Cup against Celtic.

This has been a week few of the players will forget easily. With the media portraying the clash as a David versus Goliath struggle, the squad have been enjoying a taste of the celebrity high life.

And it will continue for them almost up to kick off.

They will travel to Portpatrick on Saturday, stay overnight in an hotel and be ready for the game of their lives in front of millions of television viewers on Sunday night.

Sky Television is reputed to be bringing 16 cameras to Stair Park to capture in detail each incident - and paying each side more than 100,000 in the process.

Manager Billy McLaren reported earlier this week that he has a full squad available to him to choose from.
