Harry
Potter & Stranraer!
STRANRAER
will be at the centre of a world record attempt on "Children
In Need" night.
As
Harry Potter mania sweeps the country, BBC "Children
In Need" are planning to make it a main feature of this
years outside broadcasts.
They
hope to enter the Guinness Book of World Records with the
largest gathering of Harry Potter lookalikes at any one time.
The
plan is that the record will be achieved by the large simultaneous
gathering of "Harry Potters" from all the outside
broadcasts across the country at around 8.30 p.m. on "Children
In Need" night, Friday, 16 November.
Presenter
Heather Suttie will be in Stranraer to link up with Rob McLean
and Jackie Bird in the studio in Glasgow.
A
BBC spokesman said:
"The
fun begins at 7 p.m. and promises to have plenty on offer
to keep local fundraisers and party-goers entertained.
"We
hope that many local fundraisers will try to help us achieve
the Harry Potter record by sporting glasses and lightning
bolt scars.
"We
will even have face-painters there on the night to assist
with the Harry potter fun".
