Health Centre work starts next Month

BUILDING WORK on Stranraer's new health centre will begin early next month.

And within a year, the area will have an ultra-modern 2 million centre on the former Waverley House site.

Still on target are plans for the refurbishment of Dalrymple Hospital together with some new build also on the Waverley site for the new hospital complex to replace the Garrick.

It is anticipated that the go-ahead will be announced at the 8th March meeting of the Primary Care Trust.

The doctors who will work out of the new health centre gave their approval to the plans last week although final details have yet to be signed.
