Two
Local Police Officers Commended
TWO
local police officers who helped recover half-a-million pounds
worth of drugs were among those commended by the Chief Constable
of Dumfries and Galloway Police, David Strang, at a ceremony
last week.
The
anti-drugs operation also led to the arrest of two men working
as couriers and, according to the police, demonstrated
"hard
work and application in the finest tradition of the Scottish
Police Service".
Commended
during a ceremony at Force Headquarters in Dumfries for their
vigilance and diligence, were Constable Ian Howatson, of the
Ports Unit, Stranraer, and Constable Ian Thomson, security
officer also at the Ports Unit.
