Question
Time for Candidates
GALLOWAY’S five Parliamentary candidates have agreed to put
themselves into the firing line in Stranraer.
They
will all appear on the same stage for a Question Time session
in the town, chaired by the minister of St Ninian’s Church,
Rev Gordon Kennedy.
And
for two hours they will come under the spotlight on the evening
of Wednesday, 30th May in the High Kirk Hall.
The
five, Malcolm Fleming (SNP candidate), Peter Duncan (Conservative),
Tommy Sloan (Labour), Neil Wallace (Liberal Democrat) and
Andy Harvey, Scottish Socialist Party) will answer questions
set by local people.
The
idea was the brainchild of Mr Kennedy. One of his elders,
John Dougan, contacted the candidates and they all agreed
to take part.
High
Kirk Hall was chosen because it is one of the larger venues
in Stranraer – Mr Kennedy estimates it will hold between 150
and 200 people.
