Wild Christmas shopping

CHRISTMAS SHOPPERS in Stranraer went wild in the aisles this year, with local businessmen praising the recent festive activities as a great help to trade in the town.

Local Chamber of Commerce chairman Ronnie Bowie felt that most local shop owners were happy with their sales this Christmas.

He told the 'Free Press'

"The impression I have got from most people is that there were no mad rushes this year. It has been quite steady.

"Everyone is quite happy with how the Christmas period went."
