Smiles
not Tears
DISAPPOINTMENT has turned into smiles for four-year-old Niall
Wilson.
For
after someone stole the youngster’s pedal tractor, kind-hearted
villagers at New Luce had a whipround and bought him a new
one. And a local farmer produced a model slurry tank to be
towed at the back.
The
sound of Niall’s tractor trundling down Main Street was well
known to residents. So everyone wondered what had happened
when silence descended. Then the word got out – the tractor
had gone from outside the youngster’s home at 21 Main Street.
Dad
Stuart told the "Free Press"
"We
thought at first someone had taken it as a prank but when
we realised it had gone we were pretty sick. It was a well
used, well loved toy".
