New
Depute Rector
STRANRAER
ACADEMYS new Depute Rector has told the Free Press
she is thoroughly looking forward to taking up the challenging
position at the school.
Emma
Neil (46) currently assistant headteacher at Ayr Academy will
take-up her new post after the summer holiday following on
from Marilyn Barbour who left for Wallace Hall Academy in
December.
Whilst
visiting Stranraer on Wednesday Ms Neil, a business studies
teacher, said
I
have been to the Academy three times now and love the new
building. The staff have been really welcoming and I am
thoroughly looking forward to taking up the challenging
position at this big school.
Rector
Jimmy Higgins is delighted to have secured Ms Neils
services. First impressions seem very favourable. She
seems very keen and enthusiastic said Mr Higgins.
