New
Pair of High-Flyers
STRANRAER
has a new pair of high-flyers and they did it all in the name
of charity!
Amanda
McClorey and Lorraine Cowan both braved a parachute jump to
raise cash for good causes Amanda for cancer research and
Lorraine for meningitis research.
Although
both from Stranraer, the pair did their jumps on separate
occasions and from different airfields.
Amanda,
who went to St Andrew's for her tandem dive told the "Free
Press"
"On
arrival at Skydive St Andrew's the first surprise was how
small the plane was that I would be jumping out of.
"I
went along with my colleague Billy Hamilton who does this
regularly as a hobby.
"I
joined my three fellow students for our training and, with
that completed, all I had to do was await my turn. I was
third to go and the other two had landed safely!
