Gardener in Top 10
GREEN-FINGERED
student Stuart Campbell just missed out on the honours at
a top gardening contest in Glasgow at the weekend.
Stuart
(16) reached the semi-final of the Young Horticulturalist
of the Year Competition at the Winter Gardens and Peoples
Palace in Glasgow.
Over
250 people entered and Stuarts placing means he finished
in the top ten.
But
what made his achievement all the more notable was that the
upper age limit for the competition is 30. Stuart, therefore,
was one of the youngest entrants, with most of the others
being in their twenties.
Stranraer
lad Stuart is currently a student at the Barony College in
Dumfries although mum and dad Barbara and David still stay
in Stranraer at Liddesdale House.
