Golfers
Jackpot!!
GOLFER
William McKie is just four putts away from a possible million
pound jackpot.
William
(36), who stays at Stranraer's Leafield, has only been playing
for a year.
But
he was stunned this week to learn that he had been selected
as one of ten finalists who have won through to an amazing
golf shoot-out.
His
chance of glory is all thanks to his mum Maureen Parker.
She
collected tokens from The Sun newspaper, who are running the
competition.
From
thousands of entrants, William was selected at random as one
of ten finalists who will compete next week for the huge cash
prize.
The
competition is being held at Gleneagles Golf Course and the
ten finalists are each guaranteed £1000 just for turning
up.
They
get three putts each; with the person who is closest to the
pin on average being the winner.
That
means a prize of £10,000 and the chance to go for a
million.
