Prize Scooter Stolen

LITTLE Mirren Hannah from Stranraer thought she was the luckiest girl in town when she won a brand new scooter on Thursday.

But the five-year-old's glee was short lived as she woke the very next morning to find that callous thieves had stolen her prize right from under her nose.

Mirren went to bed on Thursday evening after she had tired herself out playing with her new toy.

It was the first time the scooter was out of her sight.

But when she woke the following morning the youngster, from Sheuchan Street, was left heartbroken when she realised the smart silver two-wheeler was missing from her garden.

Now police are appealing for help to find the person or persons behind the theft.
