Friday
13th experience!
A
90-YEAR-OLD council tenant has been left with no hot water
or central heating after a nightmare Friday 13th experience.
Castle
Kennedy resident Maggie Clannahan was devastated when her
hot water tank burst two weeks ago on Friday, 13th September.
But
matters have since gone from bad to worse as almost two weeks
later Mrs Clannahan is still living in her Aird Crescent semi-detached
bereft of heating and hot water.
She
has been reduced to having a wash in water boiled in the kettle.
And
to add to the widow's dismay, council officials have said
she may have to put up with the inconvenience for a further
seven days.
Speaking
to the 'Free Press' on Tuesday ten days after her tank burst
an angry Mrs Clannahan said
"I
was supposed to be a priority, but I have been waiting for
ten days now and there is still no sign of a new tank.
"The
house is freezing at night-time and I am full of the cold.
"Any
washing I have to do is with boiled water and I am sick
of it, I have told the council that if anything was to happen
to me they will get sued!"
