Adios Stranraer Academy!
IT
WAS ADIOS Stranraer Academy for 18 lucky pupils on Tuesday
morning as they jetted-off for a week in the Spanish sunshine.
The
football-daft youngsters have flown to Madrid for a never-to-forget
coaching course to be held in the playground of Europe's number
one club side Real Madrid.
The
thought of winning a contract with the European Champions
may be more like a dream for the lads but they will experience
eight days of professional training with the club's coaching
staff as well as taking in the sights of the beautiful Spanish
capital.
The
bleary-eyed boys departed Stranraer at 6.30 a.m. on Tuesday
morning and were due to arrive in Madrid at 5.30 p.m. accompanied
by teachers Stuart Binnie and Peter Baird a far cry from the
13-hour trek they endured to stormy Stornoway in December!
