Bank Lock-in!
BUNGLING
bank staff locked-up their branch and went home for the night
forgetting that a customer was still inside waiting to be
served.
Poor
Graeme McHallum was left stranded alone inside the Bank of
Scotland in Stranraer, after a young female member of staff
left him in a room and forgot about him.
Red-faced
bank chiefs have since apologised to Graeme and admitted it
is the first time a customer has ever been locked in one of
their branches.
Graeme
(27), re-lived his ordeal this week, saying:
"Before
I realised what was happening, it was too late. All the
staff had shut up shop and gone home for the evening.
"As
soon as I started wandering around, motion sensors detected
me and the bank's security systems kicked into action."
Thankfully,
however, a slice of good fortune led to him being rescued
relatively quickly. As the alarm bells rang out, he dashed
to the front window where, by chance, he spotted one of the
bank workers across the road.
Alerted
by the commotion, she shouted in to him through the window,
telling him he would have to wait for a keyholder to come
and get him out.
