Christmas at Home for Forster
CROOKED EX-LAWYER Kennedy Forster will spend Christmas
at home after his
case was delayed for two months.
The adjournment, granted
at the High Court on Monday, is to allow him time to
attempt to pay back the hundreds of
thousands of pounds he embezzled from
former clients.
Forster (54), of Thornbank House, Thornbank
Road, Stranraer, pleaded guilty
to 34 charges of embezzlement earlier this month. He
admitted a further six offences of breaching bankruptcy
rules.
He had been detained in custody after entering his
guilty pleas but was
released on appeal after spending a week in Barlinnie
Prison The case had been deferred until Monday when he
was due
to be sentenced at
the High Court in Edinburgh.
But when Forster appeared before
the Judge, Lord Emslie, his counsel asked
for a further adjournment to "continue efforts to
make restitution".
Forster will remain on bail after
agreeing to surrendering his passport and report to Stranraer
police station on
a weekly basis.
He
is now due to be sentenced on February 12th.
