Educational Retreat planned for Leswalt
PLANNERS have given the green light to a pioneering educational
retreat in
Leswalt.
Now
the local people behind the Aldouran Glen Village project
can finally
move forward with their brainchild after nearly two years'
preparation.
It
is hoped that by the end of this year the retreat will have
began to take
shape.
Already £60,000
has been spent on clearing the 11-acre site at Challoch
Field and constructing a wetlands area and sensory garden
in conjunction
with the Scottish Woodlands Trust.
The plan is
to create a facility predominantly for the use of special
needs
persons. But it will also be equipped for the use of schools
and other groups. |
