MILLENNIUM CENTRE GETS A CASH BOOST

STRANRAER Millennium Centre have been given a cash boost by Lloyds TSB.

They have been awarded £7500 towards the salary of the project manager Eileen Bryant for one year.

Expressing thanks, a centre spokesman said:

"It will add stability to the organisation knowing that we have funding towards the manager's post for another year.

"Our present joint funding from Scottish Enterprise Dumfries and Galloway and the European Regional Development Fund will run out in February and this award leaves us with a smaller amount to find".
