Local Scottish Motorcross Champion

ANDREW SLAVIN entered his first-ever Scottish Motocross Championships last season and he emerged victorious.

The 25-year-old from Castle Kennedy recorded three over-all victories in the six-round event on his Honda CR-250. Now he has his sights set in a top 20 place in the British Championships this time around.

Andrew tore-up Ayrshire's Drumclog and Fife's Knockhill circuits, winning a total of ten individual races, to claim his first national title. He said:

"This is a prestigious thing and it feels really great to have won. The fact that it was my first ever attempt at the adult title makes it much more better.

"I faced competition from a few boys who travel around the world to compete in motocross championships so it feels good to have beaten them".
