Shops move in to Stranraer
TENANTS
are expected to move into Stranraer's newest retail
development
within weeks.
The news comes amid rumours, unfounded say
developers, that one of the key
backers of the project had pulled out.
The tenants Argos, New Look and Birthdays are
all set to each lease a
unit at the £1million shopping complex being built
at Portrodie in the town.
A spokesman for the Glasgow-based
developers, Palisades Properties, said:
"Work is very
much on course and we hope to hand over to the tenants
in a
few weeks."
And he denied rumours that Argos had pulled
out of the project, saying:
"There is no
truth in that whatsoever. The contracts have been signed
and
everything is on course."
The development,
on the site of the former old folks¹ home
at Bellevilla
House, should now be handed over to tenants around the
end of the month. |
