Academy Cup Final Date
STRANRAER Academy under-13 side have a cup date at Firhill
in the final of
the Scottish Shield - the school's first cup final
appearance in 18 years.
They travelled to Petershill Juniors' ground
at Springburn to play their
semi-final tie against Lasswade Academy.
The proposed venue
for the final, to be played after the Easter holidays,
is
Firhill Park, Partick Thistle's ground, with possible
opponent's being Currie High (Edinburgh) or Holy Cross
High (Hamilton).
It
is hoped to make the final a big day for the school by
again taking
supporters buses of parents and pupils to cheer on the
team in what will
undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience for the boys
involved.
