Academy Cup Final Date

STRANRAER Academy under-13 side have a cup date at Firhill in the final of the Scottish Shield - the school's first cup final appearance in 18 years.

They travelled to Petershill Juniors' ground at Springburn to play their semi-final tie against Lasswade Academy.

The proposed venue for the final, to be played after the Easter holidays, is Firhill Park, Partick Thistle's ground, with possible opponent's being Currie High (Edinburgh) or Holy Cross High (Hamilton).

It is hoped to make the final a big day for the school by again taking supporters buses of parents and pupils to cheer on the team in what will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience for the boys involved.
