Something in the Air in Leswalt!
FARMER John Clark reckons there's a whiff of good
fortune around his North
Rhins farm - after one of his herd gave birth to heifer
calve triplets.
The six-year-old Limousine-cross gave birth
to the triplets two weeks ago -
taking her amazing tally to five calves in just 18 months!
And
John reckons the exceptional reproduction rate must be
down to something
in the air at the Leswalt farm he owns with his father
Alexander.
He said:
"The same cow had twin bull calves last year
and now triplet heifer
calves - that's five in 18 months whereas you would
normally be happy with
one a year.
"It must be something in the air around here!"
