Christmas Lottery Present
for Farm Worker
FARM WORKER Albert McIntyre's Christmas wishes came
true when he scooped
nearly quarter of a million pounds in Friday night's
National Lottery draw.
Albert, who works rearing pheasants
on Genoch Mains Farm, Dunragit, matched
five numbers plus the bonus ball to the Christmas Eve Lotto
draw - securing
him a cool £228,547.
But the 59-year-old took it all
in his stride and even turned up for work,
as always, on Christmas Day.
This week as Albert awaited
final confirmation of his win from Lottery
organisers Camelot, he admitted to the Free Press that
he didn't even
realise he had won anything until he reached his work
on Christmas morning.
"I never checked the numbers until Saturday
morning when I was on my way to
work and even then it never really sunk in for two
or three hours - in fact
it still hasn't sunk in yet," he said.
"To be honest
I'm neither up nor down about it - I've
still got my work to
do and that is what's most important."
